Perhaps you are doing everything right, but there are just few job openings in your sector – we can discuss options to move forward here. Perhaps speculative applications and networking could help, or maybe it is time to consider widening the net of opportunities you are considering. We can discuss how you might do this and explore similar opportunities to the ones you are currently targeting.

What is involved?

This service includes a 60 minute consultation where the coach will explore the current search methods being used and evaluate whether the client is using the most appropriate methods, or whether they might benefit from expanding the net of positions they are considering.

Different job search strategies will be discussed including jobs boards, employer websites, recruitment agencies, networking and speculative applications.

Time management strategies can also be covered, particularly if this is something the client is finding challenging. Spending too much unstructured time job searching is a poor use of time for some clients, when they could potentially be spending this time upskilling, volunteering or engaging in other activities they derive enjoyment and benefit from.

The coach and client will discuss and agree an action plan to help the client’s job search in the future. The client will receive an information handout after the session, with information on the different job search strategies, along with a summary of what was covered in the session and the agreed action plan.
